YouLMK or Healthchecks.io?
Healthchecks.io, in its own words: "Simple and Effective Cron Job Monitoring": it notifies you "when your nightly backups, weekly reports, cron jobs, and scheduled tasks don't run on time", free for 20 jobs, open source, run by one person since 2015 with 652 paying customers as of July 2024. YouLMK is an inbox you let things interrupt you through: anything with an HTTP client sends into it, and you decide per sender how far a message may reach, whether quiet hours hold it and how repeats group. It can also watch a page, an endpoint, a status page, a feed, a number or a time, and send when the answer changes.
Every fact about Healthchecks.io below was read on its own pages on 12 September 2026. If one has changed since, write to hello@youlmk.com and it is corrected the same day.
Side by side
Choose Healthchecks.io if
- You need to know when a job did not run at all, which a notification at the end of the job cannot tell you.
- You want it free for 20 jobs, or self-hosted, with a service you already use for the alert.
Choose YouLMK if
- You want the job's own result on your phone, with rules: the failed one loud, the routine one silent, with its log one tap away.
- You want the same inbox for everything else that sends to you, and watches on pages, endpoints and prices.
- Both, in fact: Healthchecks.io watching the schedule, notifying YouLMK, with the job's own line at its end.
What is the same
Both are one-person-sized tools for people who run things, both have a free way to start, both take one HTTP call from a job. Healthchecks.io watches the schedule; YouLMK is where the result lands, with rules.
Try it
The trial is 10 notifications and 3 watches, no card, no clock. Get your key, or read the docs first.
