YouLMK or Pushcut?

Pushcut, in its own words: "Extend Shortcuts with Pushcut to make magic": smart notifications with actions, tied to the Shortcuts app and HomeKit, with an Automation Server that runs automations in the background, on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. YouLMK is an inbox you let things interrupt you through: anything with an HTTP client sends into it, and you decide per sender how far a message may reach, whether quiet hours hold it and how repeats group. It can also watch a page, an endpoint, a status page, a feed, a number or a time, and send when the answer changes.

Sending

A POST to its Web API (api.pushcut.io, with an API key or a secret URL per notification, a JSON body to change the text and actions), from Shortcuts, HomeKit and the integrations it names (IFTTT, Zapier, Make).

POST text or JSON to your key, GET with query parameters, a bearer token door, a webhook URL that understands 21 services, an MCP server, libraries for Node, Python, Swift, Kotlin and React Native.

Actions

A notification's actions run a shortcut, a HomeKit scene, a URL or a web request.

A link and up to two actions the sender puts in the payload: a URL, or a signed POST after a confirm sheet.

Rules on the receiving side

Per notification definition, in the app.

Per sender: a Reach level (Silent, Badge, Banner, Break through), whether quiet hours hold it, grouping of repeats within a window, which destinations it reaches.

Watching

None; Pushcut sends what it is given, and its Automation Server runs shortcuts on a schedule.

A sentence becomes a watch: a page, an endpoint, a status page, a feed, a number or a time, checked on a schedule.

Choose Pushcut if

You live in the Shortcuts app and want a notification that runs a shortcut or a HomeKit scene when tapped.
You want automations to run on an iPhone or iPad in the background, and everything is Apple.
